Books! Books! Books!

 Happy 2024, everybody.  Okay, it's a little late but it's been a busy 2024 already.

One fun thing I did last year was write about my three favorite books for the Shepherd For Authors website.  

Picking THREE was impossible, of course.

I read constantly.  True confessions: Some of the titles that pop up on my Kindle are downright embarrassing. Others are shareable. Some are unfinished. You know, that Life's Too Short to Read All the Books thing?

 (Aside: I'm living in a new place- Washington DC! And I've started a Fiction Book Club. So far we've read COVENANT OF WATER, LESSONS IN CHEMISTRY, THE HEAVEN AND EARTH GROCERY STORE, ATONEMENT and a couple of others, including the Claire Keegan title, mentioned in my favorites.)

I totally loved thinking back and writing about three stand-outs.

One of my first writing gigs was a column on BOOK CLUBS for Skirt! 
(a regional magazine, and yes, that exclamation point is in the title.)
Book Clubbers loved to write about the food that complimented their book discussions.
